The Xtreme School Program is the most exciting and effective educational experience in South Florida!
We have put together an inspirational opportunity at Xtreme Indoor Karting that will allow local kids to experience learning in a whole new way; a way that will blend the Concepts of Physics with the Science of Speed.
Students will learn hands-on that a car is a laboratory of force, motion, and energy and that safe driving is a skill that requires a merging of science and sharp reflexes behind the wheel. Through this Xtreme program the students will get an opportunity to practice in real-life situations.
We will introduce Friction, Velocity, Inertia, Centrifugal Force, and Traction in an actual racing environment, in go-karts – on the track!

The school board of broward county recognized that both drivers education and science instruction would be enhanced with this opportunity to apply the science and the skills to real driving. anyone who drives surely recognizes the application of math and science to the skill of driving. The car is a laboratory of force, motion, and energy. Safe driving is a skill that requires a merging of science behind the vehical, and opportunities to practice them in real-life. This is what makes Xtreme perfect for this. Xtreme allows students to explore the science and the skill. It allows students to develop the concept and apply it. Xtreme really is “where the rubber meets the road” in education.
To assist students in this endeavor, a curriculum rich in physics has been developed by Dr. JP Keener; director of science education for the school board of broward county. This curriculum has been successfully utilized by students across broward county – the numbers continue to grow. Additionally, the drivers education program, under the direction of Kyle Dailey, utilizes the physics programs developed by the National Science Foundation. These programs use NASCAR as the focus for the physics. Drivers education studies the physics behind stopping distances, traction, and manueverability and then applies them to the track using real cars. All students benefit from the concept development.
