Frequently Asked Questions:
Below are answers to some of our most common questions. If you feel you need immediate assistance or would prefer to speak with an Event Coordinator, please Contact Us directly.
Under 16 and want to race?
No Problem! As long as you are at least 8 years of age or older and 54” tall, you can race. If you are under 16 and meet those requirements, you can come in and take a race evaluation which is offered everyday on the hour between noon and 10pm (unless we have an event booked or the track is closed). When you pass the race evaluation, you will get your race license and can then race during normal hours of operation.
What is a Race Evaluation?
A race evaluation allows our track marshals to explain the rules of the road, provide a safety briefing and make sure that you can follow the basic rules and keep up with the time requirements. This evaluation consists of a 5 minute race where you are against the clock. You must complete a lap in under 1 minute if you are racing the cadet karts (54”or taller) and under 34 seconds in you are racing the adult karts (62” or taller) to qualify for your race license.
How much does it cost?
$24.50 (Includes Race License if you Qualify and Head Sock)
What if I don’t pass?
If you don’t pass the race evaluation, you can try a practice sessions for only $14.00 for a 5 minute practice.
What is the attire needed to come to Xtreme?
You will need closed-toe shoes ONLY (no flip-flops or sandals) to race and preferably shorts or pants (skirts are not recommended). We do sell shoes and race outfits in our Pro Gift Shop if needed.
What are the restrictions and requirements to race on the adult karts?
You have to be 62” or taller and under 300lbs. to race. There is absolutely no drinking before driving as our track is equipped with breathalyzers.
What are the rules and regulations to the new 9HP karts?
All drivers must be an Xtreme Member and must be able to perform an 8 minute session in our 6.5 hp karts with at least 1 (ONE) lap under 30 sec. They must submit their 8 minute race result to participate in a 9hp evaluation.
A 9hp Evaluation can be done on the days and times the 9 hp karts are running. It is $49.50 which includes their 10 minute practice session and their upgrade to the Super Membership if they pass.
During the practice session they will be evaluated on driving skills, handling of the kart, and following cautions (currently, there is no shut down system on the 9 hp karts so this is very important). There is absolutely no bumping allowed! A track marshal has to sign off on their session.
If they do not pass they can do a practice session for $25.00 each the same day only, unless restricted by race control. If they do not want to practice the same day they will have to start over with the evaluation process.
Once they are a member a 10 minute session is $22.50
Open racing for the 9 hp karts is from Sunday – Thursday 6pm – 10pm (Subject to Availability). The same rules apply if there is an event the karts will not run so they should always check for event scheduling. This is tentative.
No discounts or specials apply to the 9 hp evaluation, upgrade, practice sessions or 10 minute sessions. This includes all you can race, BOGO coupons or specials, $5/5 gallon coupons, $10 vouchers, etc. NO EXCEPTIONS!
